Infants
Our Infant program cares for babies age 0-24 months
At Sunny Ridge Kids infants and toddlers learn and grow by experiencing the world through their senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell) and by way of social interaction. These interactions are critical for the forming of a child’s healthy self-esteem. Infants and toddlers develop a sense of trust through warm, positive relationships with adults. These trusted adults become a secure foundation, allowing the child to grow and explore the world around them.
Daily Activities:
An infant’s daily schedule allows for flexibility based on the needs of the individual child. This is seen primarily in eating, sleeping and other various activities. A toddler’s schedule is slightly more structured in preparation for their transition into the two‑year‑old classroom.
Each child participates in daily activities that help develop their small and large motor skills. Singing interactive songs and listening to music increases their familiarity of music as they enhance their skills in rhythm and memorization. Reading stories and looking at books stimulates your child’s development of speech and their understanding of sounds and senses.
